Our Story

Born from the Ocean, Built for It

How It Started

Two surfers. One mission. A brand that gives back.

Go Green Swimwear was founded in 2019 by two lifelong surfers who were tired of seeing plastic wash up on the beaches they loved. They set out to prove that high-performance swimwear and environmental responsibility aren't mutually exclusive.

Every piece in our collection is crafted from certified recycled ocean plastic — ECONYL® regenerated nylon and rPET fabric rescued from landfills and coastlines. We partner with Fair Trade certified factories and use ocean-safe dyes throughout our supply chain.

Today, Go Green Swimwear has diverted over 2 million plastic bottles from the ocean and donated 1% of every sale to marine conservation nonprofits. The ocean gave us everything — it's time to give back.

The Process

From Ocean Plastic to Your Swimsuit

Our supply chain is designed from the ground up to minimize environmental impact at every step — from raw material sourcing to your doorstep.

01

Ocean Plastic Collection

We partner with coastal cleanup organizations to collect discarded fishing nets, plastic bottles, and marine debris from beaches and ocean floors.

02

Regeneration & Spinning

Collected plastic is cleaned, shredded, and regenerated into ECONYL® nylon or rPET polyester yarn — indistinguishable from virgin fabric in performance.

03

Ethical Production

Yarn is woven and cut at our Fair Trade certified partner factories, using ocean-safe dyes and zero-waste cutting techniques.

04

Carbon Neutral Delivery

Every order ships with verified carbon offsets, and our packaging is 100% recycled and compostable.
